Dew Point Sensor WADS 201-204

The Wiseair Dew Point Sensor provides reliable and long-term stable dew point monitoring in industrial applications, with a range of -110 … +60 °C Td. It makes it an ideal choice for dew point measurements in high tech requirements and conditions.

The new generation of the dew point sensors offering compressed air users a plug & play solution to monitor their compressed air quality. All transmitter models are available with Analog 4… 20 mA output signals, in addition to that the models are available with a Modbus/RTU digital interface. By offering different output signals users can profit from great flexibility and seamless integration into their process.

Additionally, the dew point sensors are offered with an integrated pressure sensor, combining a pressure and dew point sensor into a single instrument. The main body is made from high class aluminium alloy with a soft finish. Top cover made from aluminium at the same quality as the main body.

How Does a Dew Point Sensor Help Monitor Compressed Air Quality?

A dew point sensor helps plant engineers monitor the moisture condition of compressed air continuously rather than relying only on periodic checks. The WADS 201-204 series measures pressure dew point across its available measurement ranges and can provide the reading through 4–20 mA or Modbus/RTU communication, depending on the selected model.

This makes it suitable for monitoring air after refrigerated or desiccant dryers, where a change in dew point can indicate a deterioration in dryer performance. Continuous compressed air dew point monitoring also gives maintenance teams an early indication of moisture-related problems before condensation reaches downstream equipment or affects product quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is dew point in compressed air systems?

Dew point is the temperature at which moisture in compressed air begins to condense into liquid water. Monitoring dew point ensures air quality meets ISO 8573 standards and prevents corrosion and contamination.

Why is dew point monitoring important for compressed air?

Excess moisture in compressed air causes pipe corrosion, product contamination, pneumatic tool damage, and increased energy costs. Dew point sensors help maintain optimal dryer performance.

What dew point range do the WADS 201-204 sensors measure?

The WADS 201-204 series covers a wide dew point measurement range suitable for monitoring refrigerated and desiccant air dryers in industrial compressed air systems.
