An acoustic imaging camera answers a different question from a handheld detector. A detector tells you that you are near a leak. The WA-EUS-750 shows you the leak as a coloured overlay on a live image of the pipework in front of you, from a distance, while the plant is running.
That changes what a survey costs in time. Pipework at height, congested runs above machinery, and long distribution mains are the places where a handheld instrument is slow and a ladder is involved. With an imager they are scanned from the floor.

An array of ultrasonic microphones combined with a camera. The array works out the direction each ultrasonic sound is arriving from and overlays it as a colour map on the live image, so a leak appears as a bright spot on a picture of the pipe it is coming from.
Range depends on leak size, line pressure and how much competing ultrasound is present, so any single figure would be misleading.
